THC Bomb Strain

Updated: Nov 22, 2024

When choosing a cannabis variety, users often look at two things: the THC and CBD levels. Apparently, the flavors and aroma of a particular strain are usually just there to spice things up, but it is their CBD or THC concentration that defines the whole experience.

Information about THC Bomb:

Medical marijuana users would normally prefer strains with very high CBD levels. The higher the CBD content, the more effective the strain will be in alleviating certain health conditions.

Recreational users, on the other hand, are more likely to choose strains with impressive THC concentrations. Tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is basically what creates the “high” that users experience when smoking marijuana.

That being said, there are breeders who intentionally grow cannabis varieties with such unique qualities to keep up with the demands of a certain group of users. Let us take this one particular strain, for example, that was initially bred to contain high levels of THC.

With that goal in mind, the strain was then finally dubbed as the THC Bomb.

THC Bomb is a signature hybrid strain of the breeder Bomb Seeds. Aside from its impressive THC levels, that information alone can easily explain why the strain is named as such.

The genetic origin of the THC Bomb is unknown. However, it was said to have been developed in the Netherlands, but can now be found in Alaska, Colorado and in the Pacific Northwest.

Effects

As mentioned previously, THC Bomb was specifically bred to have high levels of THC. Therefore, common sense should tell anyone interested in trying out the strain to be more careful when smoking the weed especially those beginners with very low tolerance to the effects of THC.

Although many seasoned users would claim that the strain is not necessarily capable of knocking users off their feet, the astounding 25% THC content of THC Bomb is still not worth underestimating. As what they say, it always better to be safe than sorry.

Furthermore, the strain offers a heavy hit that is accompanied by a physical high in a form of deep relaxation which tends to lead users into a couch lock. This is most likely due to the dominant Indica content of the strain. The Sativa effects of THC Bomb, however, is stimulating enough to uplift a user’s mood. This is manifested by feelings of happiness and euphoria.

All these effects make the THC Bomb a perfect strain for evening or night time use.

Fragrance

To those users who prefer their strains to have a strong and skunky smell but tolerable enough, THC Bomb is a great choice. It has a distinct earthy smell coupled with some sweet and sour undertones reminiscent to a lemon’s aroma.

Aside from the fact that THC Bomb’s THC content needs sufficient precaution, users should also be mindful of the fact that smoking THC Bomb may cause certain side effects that are common to cannabis in general.

Dry mouth is apparently the most frequent side effect experienced by users. Some may also show signs of dry eyes, dizziness, paranoia and mild headaches. Note that users are more likely to experience such effects if they are not that tolerant to the effects of the strain.

Medical

Before even getting into the medical benefits of THC Bomb, it is important to note that there is no known information regarding the strain’s CBD level which basically reflects the strain’s supposed medicinal value.

However, the fact that the creation of the strain is more focused on producing high THC levels rather than CBD, one can easily conclude that THC Bomb may not have CBD levels that are equally as impressive as that of its THC.

Nonetheless, the strain is still known to relieve certain medical conditions. Considering the uplifting effects of THC Bomb, it is said to be effective in aiding patients who are dealing with stress, depression, and anxiety.

Growing

THC Bomb can be grown either indoor or outdoor. The good news is that even inexperienced growers can cultivate the strain with ease. However, certain conditions have to be met for successful cultivation.

If grown indoors, growers should consider using the SOG method with hydroponics. Outdoor cultivation, on the other hand, requires a warm and sunny climate.

THC Bomb is known to have very promising yields. However, this can only be possible if the plant is cultivated in ideal conditions recommended for its growth.

Flowering Time

Indoors

Using the SOG method of growing, the indoor flowering time of THC Bomb should take about 7 to 9 weeks. This type of cultivation is expected to produce a yield of 19 to 22 ounces per square meter.

Outdoors

Given that the strain is grown outdoor with the ideal climate, it should be ready for harvest by late September to early October and produce a yield of about 35 ounces per plant.
