RS11 Strain

Updated: Oct 17

The world of cannabis is constantly growing and evolving, encouraging the emergence of new strains with unique effects and flavor combinations. One such strain to crop is RS11, also known as the Rainbow Sherbert #11 strain. Developed by Doja Pak, with the help of Deep East Oakland (DEO) and Wizard Trees, the RS11 weed strain has become a surprisingly popular cannabis variety. Renowned for its exceptional genetics, potent effects, and delightful flavor, RS11 is set to make its mark in cannabis history.

Our ILGM research team strives to provide relevant and accurate information, but the secretive nature of many growers leaves some details unattainable. We’ll update you as more RS11 strain information emerges.

All about RS11 strain terpenes

RS11 strain genetics

DEO and Wizard Trees created their Rainbow Sherbert (RS) line from a pack of OZ Kush (OZK) seeds they’d gotten from Dying Breed Seeds. They then harnessed the various phenotypes to deliver a selection of high-quality strains. Doja Pak joined in on the 11th pheno to develop what we now know as the RS11 cannabis strain.

In this Doja Pak interview, the RS11 marijuana strain is described as OZK and Pink Guava crossed with Black Sherb. The initial OZK/Pink Guava cross has been dubbed OZK Guava v2 by some.

OZK is the offspring of Eddy OG and Zkittles. Its signature potency and resin production, coupled with the tropical fruitiness of its parents, make it a top-shelf hybrid. DEO backcrossed OZK to create Pink Guava, a pheno highlighting its ancestors’ sweet, fruity elements. Black Sherb, named for its rich, dark colors, comes from a backcross of the delightfully sweet Sunset Sherbet (Girl Scout Cookies x Pink Panties).

Unsurprisingly, many have tried to recreate the hybrid, leading to several genetic combinations. Blimburn Seeds only credits Pink Guava and OZK in their RS11 strain genetics, and sources say one variant uses Gelato.

Is RS11 strain indica or sativa?

With more and more breeders taking on this hybrid, the exact ratio depends on your version. Blimburn Seeds have noted theirs as mostly sativa. The original RS11 strain indica to sativa ratio is harder to pin down. Many rank it as mostly sativa, while others have labeled it indica-dominant or balanced.

Either way, the RS11 strain effects are balanced with a physically calming yet mentally stimulating high.

Growing RS11 strain

Although getting RS11 strain seeds directly from Doja Pak is nearly impossible, the versions offered by other breeders are more readily available. If you’re set on growing the original, you can grow it from a clone – if you know someone with an existing plant willing to give you a cut.

Growers say the RS11 weed strain is easy to grow and thrives indoors and outdoors. Growing methods like Low-Stress Training (LST) may help you maximize your yields and get the best out of your plants.

The RS11 buds exhibit a striking appearance characterized by their medium to large size, dense structure, and vibrant colors. These resin-coated nugs are often a buffet of rich green and deep purple hues, highlighted with fiery orange hairs. This sticky, visual delight captures the essence of RS11’s genetic diversity and potency in every mouthwatering nugget, leaving cannabis enthusiasts wanting more.

RS11 strain flowering time

The RS11 cannabis strain has a flowering time of approximately 8-10 weeks, depending on the version you have. During this phase, the plants undergo a transformative process, developing dense, sticky buds that emit the hybrid’s notable aroma.

RS11 strain autoflowering time

Autoflowers don’t require a change in the light cycle, making them considerably faster to grow. The first buds typically appear around four to six weeks and have a flowering time between four and ten weeks.

Like most autoflowers, the RS11 strain will be ready to harvest after ten to fourteen weeks.

RS11 strain yield

The average yield of any cannabis plant depends on several factors, including the skill of the cultivator, growing conditions, strain genetics, and size and health of the plant. It also differs between photoperiod and autoflower plants. However, you can use general estimates as a potential yield per plant guideline.

For photoperiod plants, this is 16-64 ounces (450-1814 grams) outdoors and 8-24 ounces (227-680 grams) indoors.

RS11 autoflower strain yield

The potential yield per plant for autoflowering plants is 1.7-7 ounces (50-200 grams) outdoors and 1.7-4.2 ounces (50-120 grams) indoors. Below you can find a selection of our best autoflower seed deals, some of which are very similar tot the RS11 strain!

RS11 strain effects

Little can be said to discredit this hybrid’s buzz, leaving negative RS11 strain reviews far and few between.

Consumers say the RS11 marijuana strain serves a euphoric, uplifting high that can be mentally active and physically relaxing. It suits social gatherings, spurring creative thought and insightful conversation, or chilled nights at home getting lost in a Netflix series. The well-rounded, balanced effects make it a great choice for easing physical ailments (like chronic pain or inflammation) without compromising mental clarity. It’s also great for elevating your mood to relieve stress and anxiety. But that doesn’t mean it should be taken lightly.

This hybrid can still pack a punch, with intense, long-lasting highs that can take down anyone underestimating its potency. Mild side effects include dry mouth and red eyes, but you could also experience dizziness, headaches, couchlock, and sedation. For the best results, practice moderation and consume cautiously.

How strong is the RS11 strain?

Sources say the RS11 strain’s THC levels range from 15% to 27%, making it a powerful hybrid in terms of psychoactive effects. Its CBD and CBG content average 1-2%, contributing to its therapeutic potential. It’s important to note that these percentages can vary due to the lack of standardized testing and regulations in the cannabis industry. The actual strength may vary from batch to batch.

If you want to grow a strain similar to RS11, we recommend to try the Gelato from ILGM.

RS11 strain terpenes

The complex terpene profile that RS11 possesses contributes to its enticing aroma and potential therapeutic benefits. Caryophyllene lends a spicy note, while myrcene adds a touch of earthy fruitiness. With its zesty citrus undertones, limonene enhances the flavor and provides potential mood-elevating effects. These terpenes create a harmonious balance of scents and flavors, elevating RS11’s appeal.

Aroma & Flavor

RS11 is a hard strain to keep low-key, especially after you’ve opened the bag. Its aroma is pungently sweet and gassy, hitting the nose with an unmistakable potency that hints at the hybrid’s strength. Upon inhalation, the RS11 strain smokes smooth with a sweet and earthy flavor profile, touching on notes of sweet fruit and sour lemons with a hint of pine. This delightful combination of flavors and aromas makes RS11 a connoisseur’s delight, enticing both seasoned cannabis enthusiasts and newbies alike.
