Purple Cheese Strain

White cheese, yellow cheese, but a purple cheese? Sure. It looks good, but where it becomes mouthwatering is in the happiness it induces.

Lest anyone is mistaken, we are referring to one of the thousands of marijuana strains.

Information about Purple Cheese:

The plant itself is a beauty. Its lineage ensures that growers can trigger an auto response that results in purple hues.

But more than simply its looks, it is also the balanced head and body effects that make it a standout.

Auto Seeds bred Purple Cheese using three distinct strains – Purple No. 1, Blue Cheese and Lowryder.

The idea is simple as the breeder wanted a hybrid that does not come with the intense and sometimes overwhelming flavor of Blue Cheese.

At the same time, they also wanted a trait that is rare in most strains, a high CBD content.

From Purple No. 1, as mentioned, the plant exhibits hues of purple color once exposed to cooler air before it starts flowering.

Finally, the genetics of Lowryder is evident as Purple Cheese grows to only 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 feet.

In essence, all the qualities that made each of the parent strains popular choices among cannabis users are found in Purple Cheese.

Effects

Looking at Purple Cheese, it is hard to imagine how it was once one of the more potent strains.

Alas, breeders here and there have done a fantastic job of creating new hybrids that are more powerful.

Regardless, it has held its own quite well and is still well regarded. The fact of the matter is that if people are looking for a comfortable feel good hit, then this is it.

Once people start using it, it takes a bit of time before a mild uplifting sensation kicks in.

At the same time, users feel their mind clearing, free of worries. As such, some go on to feel not only happy but also euphoric.

Feeling good about themselves, they can go on to do their tasks. But if they are with a group of friends, then it makes for a fun and lively time together.

As the effects continue to wash down to the body, most users start to slow down.

Soon enough, they may find themselves reluctant to move. In other words, the intense feeling of relaxation turns hyperactive people lazy.

Use Purple Cheese a little too much, and they stay on their couch or bed, wherever they are.

One good thing going is that the mind remains clear, rather than hazy.

For the next two or three hours, users can expect a great relaxing experience without the psychedelic effects.

Fragrance

Purple Cheese comes emits a fruity sweet scent that has a pungent note of what else but cheese. Although one may imagine that it cannot possibly smell great, believe it or not, it does.

Flavors

As intended by Auto Seeds, the idea of creating Purple Cheese, among others is to tone down its cheesy flavor. To that end, they were able to do that. As such, while much of how it smells carry over to its taste, rather than a distinct taste of cheese, it has a hint of candy.

Adverse Reaction

Like all cannabis, users may experience dry mouth and eyes. While these are nothing to worry about, it can also cause a headache. For that reason, people who are using it for the first time will want to start off with half their normal consumption. They can then add a little bit at a time during subsequent use. Otherwise, using too much will make the adverse effects more pronounced.

On rare instances, some people may also feel dizzy while others can experience being more paranoid.

Medical

One thing that distinguishes Purple Cheese from others is its high THC content compared to a majority of other cannabis strains. Tested to have as much as 4% CBD, the assumption is that it can provide better or more efficient medical benefits.

Unfortunately, even with an insane 4% CBD, it still is not enough to be an effective treatment for seizures and epilepsy.

At any rate, what it is good at is with pain relief from degenerative diseases. Patients who are already suffering from constant pain will want to find comfort and relief. Using Purple Cheese can do that.

Another thing that the strain is good at is in wiping away stress. Such is the result of the uplifting feeling it induces. Consequently, it also benefits people with depression, and perhaps even anxiety.

During its come down, unless users go to sleep, many are bound to feel hungry. For that reason, people with problems eating can use Purple Cheese to stimulate their appetite.

Growing

There is a lot to love about Purple Cheese. One is the relative ease of its cultivation. It can grow outdoor or indoor, and it does not take up a lot of vertical space. In fact, it inherited the trait of Lowryder as it can only grow up to 2-1/2 feet. A midget, that’s what it is. Growers should not be surprised if it exceeds 3 feet outdoor, though.

Another thing that will please many people is that it is possible to have two cycles of this plant. Provided growers plant after the last frost, it is possible to have two harvests in one season.

Flowering Time

Indoors

In most cases, the Purple Cheese should be ready by the ninth week. At this time, growers can trigger its flowering stage. Each square meter of this plant can produce around 10 to 14 ounces of buds.

Outdoors

As mentioned, it is possible to have two harvests in one summer, in July and October. Each plant can produce at least 14 ounces or more.
