Nordle, not to be confused with CBD Nordle, is a high CBD strain that has an almost 1:1 ratio with THC. In essence, the lack of potency means it has limited psychoactive effects. Even so, it does contain more than enough traits to make it appealing to recreational users.
Information about Nordle:
Having a high CBD content, it follows that the strain is more useful to medical cannabis users. We will cover this in another section.
The name of the strain itself does not mean anything special. For some reason, it was only a word that came up back in the time when some individuals were smuggling cannabis out of Afghanistan.
From the accounts of Mr. Nice:
Back in the 60s to early 70s, the hashish offered in tea-houses in Afghanistan was the best in the world. Even King Saber Shah, the ruler of the country, loved it. A series of events then occurred. First, the king was ousted in 1973. Six years later, the Russian invasion began.
In smuggling hashish out of Afghanistan, the people involved came up with a random code word.
“For reasons I never fully understood,” Jim McCann told Howard Marks. “We referred to it over the phone as Nordle.”
It is not understood if the Nordle hybrid today is the exact same strain from that era. From Mr. Nice Seeds, Nordle traces its lineage to an Afghani Indica and Skunk No. 1. It appears then that it is the closest to the original cannabis referred to in the 60s. Note too that there is another variety of this strain that is a cross between an Afghani Indica and Sensi Star.

Effects
Nordle leans more to its Indica side although the exact split is unknown for now. It only has up to 6% THC, which is very low especially when compared to modern strains. Hence, much of its effects are gentle yet still very pronounced.

It delivers a soothing sensation that induces full-body relaxation and, at the same time, uplifts the spirit. Feeling lighter and unburdened, it is only natural that users start to feel a general sense of happiness. Even as the body is completely relaxed, the mind does not get hazy. In fact, most people will have a clear-headed ‘high.’ Furthermore, users tend to be mentally active with a sharper focus.
The absence of any psychedelic effects makes Nordle an excellent daytime strain. People who use it can expect to have an easier time doing their tasks. Besides not experiencing mental confusion due to buzzing cerebral effects, there is also none of the sadating Indica properties.
Fragrance
Although its effects are gentle, the pungent odor it emits suggests otherwise. It comes with a sweet and skunky scent that is reminiscent of Skunk No. 1. A nice touch to its fragrance is the citrusy note that softens the dank aroma.
Flavors
Much of its fragrance carries over. The skunky aroma of Nordle is less pronounced, and the accompanying note of berry makes it quite pleasant. Also, it has a lingering spicy note that helps make the smoke easy on the throat.
Adverse Reaction
Even if Nordle has a below average THC, it still induces some adverse effects. Dry mouth and eyes, for instance, is common as it is with any cannabis strain.
Surprisingly, even with the buzzing head high, it can also cause some people to feel dizzy. On rare instances, it may also cause some to feel more anxious or paranoid.
While it is easy to underestimate, these side effects become pronounced as users smoke more.
Medical
Having been tested to have as much as 5% CBD, it is still not enough to make it an effective treatment for seizures and epilepsy. But it does have other benefits for medical cannabis users.
One of its most useful benefits is to provide comfort. It relieves people suffering from chronic illnesses from having to endure the constant pains and aches including muscle spasms.
With both the Sativa and Indica traits working hand in hand, the full-body relaxation, as well as the mood-enhancing traits of the strain, helps with relief from stress. By tilting users towards happiness, depressed people find depression more manageable.
Nordle does not have enough potency to induce heavy drowsiness that knocks out users. Instead, people who use it can choose to be productive or simply to chill and drift off to sleep.

Growing
Nordle is not a hard strain to cultivate. Most people including beginners should be able to successfully nurture it until harvesting. It thrives equally well indoor or outdoor.
Flowering Time
Indoors
If planting it indoors, hydroponics seems to be the best choice as it results in a more explosive growth. However, consider using soil as a medium for richer flavors. It has a flowering time of 7 to 9 weeks. While growers can opt to start early, it is best to wait a couple more weeks before triggering it. Harvest time is a joyous occasion as growers can pick up to 26 ounces of buds for every square meter.
Outdoors
The plant will want to be exposed to a healthy dose of sunshine. In other words, plentiful but with ample shades. Its flowering time occurs during the first to second week of October. Although it was not stated, each plant is likely to produce at least 26 ounces of bud.
