Magnum PI Strain

Magnum PI is not at all a potent strain. Yet, it remains equally sought after. Its smoke is invigorating – exuding hints of apricot and citrus. Enhancing the overall flavor is a sweet earth, hinting at what is to come.

Upon consumption, it delivers a calming cerebral high that clears the mind. It creates a path for thoughts to flow and form freely without trailing off. In this way, users can stay on track with goals for the day. Not only that, it has a complementary rush of energy that helps one perform light physical tasks. One could use it before a social event too, as a way to loosen up and stay upbeat.

Beyond the recreational, however, lies powerful therapeutic effects. Its CBD levels are almost always half of the percentage of its THC compounds. Thus, it provides immense relief to patients looking for a reprieve against a myriad of mental and physical health afflictions.

A strain laced with mystery; it is almost impossible to determine Magnum PI’s lineage. Supposedly, it originated in Puget Sound by Seahorse Gardens. Still, this does not affect its ability to climb up the charts.

Effects

Magnum Pi, like many Sativas, delivers a quick-acting high but it is not at all overwhelming. Its THC levels range only between 11% to 12%, delivering a mild euphoria that swarms the mind. It gently coaxes out the negativity starting at the onset and leaves users basking in an innate sense of happiness.

Magnum PI Strain Effects

Magnum PI Strain Effects

With uplifted spirits and sharpened senses, it becomes easier for casual enthusiasts to steer clear of distractions and stay focused. Complementing this is a rush of energy that further motivates users to complete tasks, especially ones that require light physical movement.

At the comedown, it induces a soothing sensation that irons out the crease in the forehead before moving down to the lower extremities. It relaxes the body, cloaking the body in a blanket of comfort. In spite of its intensity, it does not lock users to the couch.

It is an excellent choice for beginners. Seasoned users may not be so inclined to use this strain for a night of recreation. However, it is a good daytime companion that will help one stay productive.

Fragrance

Magnum PI is a pungent strain that would require the help of a carbon filter to manage it in a secluded grow room. Characterizing its scent is an overtone of earth with a tinge of sweetness from fruits that smell like citrus and apricot.

Flavors

Intensely flavorful, Magnum PI exudes delicious fruity flavors such as sweet apricot and tangy citrus. Counteracting it on the exhale is the rich aftertaste of wet soil.

Adverse reactions

A cottonmouth is one of the typical offshoots of cannabis use along with dry, arid eyes that turn red with irritation. At times, it may induce anxiety especially as when one accidentally consumes too much of Magnum PI’s stimulating smoke. Although, if one is predisposed to the condition, it would be best to toke low dosages.

Medical

Magnum PI boasts impressive CBD levels of up to 5%. At this range, it could provide patients with a reprieve against a myriad of health issues concerning the mind and the body. It is just as effective and equally long-lasting as over-the-counter medicine without the unnecessary side effects such as vomiting.

Among its best use is as an antiemetic. It relieves gastrointestinal pains and soothes the stomach, so it does not contract or force food upward. As such, it is excellent against nausea. The same soothing properties also appease aches and pains all over the body. Patients can use it to manage symptoms of cramps, headaches, and fatigue. Meanwhile, its anti-inflammatory properties reduce sensitivity, redness, and swelling in affected areas.

Beyond the physical, Magnum PI also offers comfort to patients suffering from mental, psychological, and behavioral disorders. It helps calm turbulent emotions that can sometimes put users in depressive mood or fuel a fiery rage. In its place, there is a mental clarity that promotes happy thoughts. The sharper sense of focus also allows one to develop, reevaluate, and redirect goals.

Growing

Magnum PI grows into a humungous plant when it finally finishes growing. This is especially true when it is cultivated in farms or gardens where it does not only have free reign, but also access to the nutrient-rich rays of the sun. Moreover, the exposure to the elements such as a light breeze allows it to develop a sturdier frame.

The same could not be said for indoor growing environments where it is restricted by walls. Provisions could be made, of course. For instance, growers could apply advanced growing techniques like Topping and the Screen of Green to manage its height without sacrificing yields.

Installing fans all over the growing area and situating the air to the tops will mimic the breeze that blows over it outdoors, strengthening the stalk as the plant sways. Lights should also be exchanged for higher intensity fixtures with at least 600 watts of power to improve bud production.

Flowering Time

Indoors

It takes Magnum PI longer to flower, taking around 10 to 12 weeks at most. However, the wait is rewarded with a square meter with 12 to 16 ounces of sweet-smelling buds that entice the senses all day.

Outdoors

In the northern hemisphere, Magnum PI’s flowers fully bloom around the last few days of October to the middle of November. It yields high though; with each plant producing a minimum of 16 ounces of buds.
