Black Haze Strain

Not only can this ominously-sounding cannabis qualify to be a title of a thriller film, but it also can give you a massive mind-body charge similar to outrunning a horde of zombies.

Reaching your hideout to catch some Z’s, not zombies, but a good night’s sleep, it must be a great moment to combust a Black Haze ‘potpourri’ through a bong and teleport to dreamland.

Information about Black Haze marijuana strain:

Developed by Pioneer Nuggets, this hybrid is a Sativa-heavy plant that delivers a perky cerebral high that uplifts the mood and gives users sheer bliss.

Since the strain has significant Indica amounts, users should also feel their bodies achieving absolute tranquility.

Also, it provides a feel good, functional mental high not overpowering for cannabis connoisseurs;

but ideal for newbies looking for a strain that wouldn’t overwhelm them.

Black Haze was actually named as such due to its deep purple buds that look almost black in color.

In contrast to its sinister appellation, who would have thought that this strain came from a renowned and well-respected lineage?

Creating the strain was never an easy task.

Be that as it may, the Washington state-based breeder conducted a careful selection of its parents.

Upon getting ahold of A-grade varieties of Colombian Black, Purple Haze, and Colombian Gold (very rare marijuana), they did a three-way cross. As a result, Black Haze was born.

In the market, there are other varieties of Black Haze available from other breeders.

One that is more widely available is from Exotic Seeds. However, it is not the same as the one from Pioneer Nuggets as it is a cross between Sir Jack and Skunk.

Smoking the strain with just the right amount sends off a rapid thrust in the head that elevates mood, transitioning into cheerful bliss. It may take up to 6 minutes for the effects to start manifesting, but once it does, users would find their senses become more optimized. The clear-headed focus lingers for as long as a couple of hours. This is especially beneficial when performing activities that entail creativity and in-depth analysis. It would be great for users to make the most of this increased efficiency and go about with ticking tasks off of their to-do list. For this reason, Black Haze is an excellent wake-and-bake strain for getting over the bane of Monday blues.

By the time the cerebral buzz hushes into stillness, the hybrid’s Indica attributes start to manifest. Hence, a stress-agitated body plagued by muscle tensions begin to cool off. Although Black Haze has substantial physical body influence, getting body stoned or couch-locked is quite rare of an occurrence.

Fragrance

The predominating scents of this cannabis are earthy and woody, resembling that of dried pine and cedar. At the same time, underneath it lurks a berry and cherry aroma most likely inherited from its parent, Purple Haze. Once the buds have been broken open, it has a musty and dank tone.

Flavors

Black Haze is gratifying to the taste buds. When smoked, a blend of fruity and earthy flavors will become more pronounced. What’s more, it has a cloud of smoke so mellow that it doesn’t irritate the eyes or trigger coughing.

Adverse Reaction

Just like most strains, using Black Haze can cause discomfort to users. With that, dry mouth and dry eyes are commonly experienced by novice and experts alike. Additionally, more puffs would lead to dizziness, headache, and even induce anxiety.

Medical

Due to its high analgesic potency, Black Haze is best used for pain management. Acute and chronic pain sufferers can use this strain to soothe and relieve inflammation effectively. It also is an effective treatment for insomnia, therefore, improving sleep. As a side note, regular and moderated tokes may have smokers attain healthy sleeping habits.

Growing

Growers can cultivate this strain whether indoors or outdoors, whichever setup they see fit. Outdoor growing requires a semi-humid to warm climate. It is not high maintenance and therefore can still flourish in fluctuating temperatures. For growers who like to make its purple buds more evident, they need to lay it open to the cooler environment before it starts flowering.

The plant is ready to harvest once the buds reveal beautiful dark purple hues along with fiery red-orange pistils, as well as crystalline trichomes.

Flowering Time

Indoors

Within 11-14 weeks, the strain will be on its flowering stage. Since it doesn’t generate a better yield, expect a production somewhere between 12 to 14 ounces per square meter.

Outdoors

Black Haze may call for a semi-humid and warm climate, but know that rising and falling in temperature would pose no problem on the plant. Thus, its innate traits wouldn’t get altered. As a medium-yielding strain, growers should look for 16 ounces worth of buds per plant.
